Avant + Garde Dance Company values leadership and passionate people. Each year, the directors hand select one individual who exemplifies the A+GDC mission, it’s values, and shows potential to be a leader in the dance industry well after their time with the Avant + Garde Dance Company. This year the directors selected Jenna, a great dancer and lovely soul.
Jenna started dancing on and off when she was seven years old. She currently lives at home in Algonquin, Illinois with her parents and her dog, Tucker. Jenna danced on the Cary Jr Trojan Pom team for about four years of her life and competed at competitions. By the age of twelve she decided to participate in auditioning for Summers Dance Academy and got accepted. She took ballet, jazz, and hip-hop classes. At the age of fourteen she moved studios to All That Dance in Crystal Lake and took lyrical and hip-hop classes for four years. She has taken a ballet class at Intrigue dance studio in Chicago last year and would love to try more classes in the city. She is continuing to pursue her love for dance through AGDC and cannot wait to see what the future holds for her.
